Windows Outlook (classic)

This SHOULD be automatically showing up within 10 minutes. Be sure it is not already on your list, it may just need to be expanded (step 8 image)

In some rare cases, it may need to be manually added.

  1. Right click on your mailbox
  2. Data File Properties...
  3. Click on the Advanced tab
  4. Advanced Tab
  5. Add
  6. Type the email of the shared mailbox (example: asiitdepartment@fullerton.edu)
  7. Click OK until you reach the main view
  8. Open mailbox by expanding it with the arrow to the left of the new mailbox


Windows Outlook (new)

  1. Hover over your mailbox on the left side
  2. Click the three dots for more options
  3. click Add shared folder or mailbox
  4. search for mailbox by typing in the email and selecting it
  5. click Add
  6. expand under "Shared with me" and expand newly added mailbox



Mac Outlook

  1. Menu bar > File > Open > Shared Mailbox...
  2. search for mailbox by typing in the email and selecting it

  3. expand added mailbox



Web Outlook

Mail - Outlook (office.com)

  1. Hover over "Folders" on left side
  2. Click on the three dots for more options
  3. click "Add shared folder or mailbox"
  4. search for mailbox by typing in the email and selecting it
  5. click add
  6. expand newly added mailbox on left side




Mobile (Android / iOS)

The screenshots are from Android phone, but are nearly identical on Android tablet, iPhone, iPad

  1. Top Left, tap your profile picture / initials
  2. Tap the + on the top left
  3. Tap a shared mailbox
  4. Enter the email of the shared mailbox
  5. You can now switch to the shared mailbox from the account/folder selection browser
